Enter into thy Closet.

1. Shut in with God, as in his tent,
  no veil of earth let down between;
we look beyond that firmament,

2. We would behold him face to face,
  and talk with him, as friend with friend;
his fellowship of heavenly grace
  enjoying without break or end.

3. As the disciples saw the Lord,
  and listened to his voice of love,
still drinking in each heavenly word,
  like living water from above;

4. so would we see him, hear him now,
  as if he spoke to us alone;
and so, shut out from all below,
  would feast upon each look and tone.
